Microsoft Azure

Find out how Microsoft Azure can benefit your business.

What is Microsoft Azure?

Microsoft Azure is a virtual private cloud server which is run by Microsoft. The difference is that none of the hardware costs or hardware maintenance rests on your shoulders. It is run on clusters of redundant servers that Microsoft logically slices up into smaller chunks that you can rent

This way you don’t have any of the upfront cost of purchasing servers or any of the maintenance costs associated with server ownership. The servers are “virtual”. You own the data on them and can export the entire virtual server if you ever find that you, no longer want to run your servers in the cloud any longer.

Why Choose Microsoft Azure?

Azure goes beyond SaaS (Software as a Service) to become IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service), providing the operating system, computing power and network from which all necessary components are hosted.

While Office 365 is a managed solution that is more than enough for many businesses, some may have the need for a more tailored approach, greater server power and extensive storage. Azure provides a wide range of further integrated services that can accommodate a multitude of operating systems, languages, tools and app development capabilities.

With substantial increases in virtual capacity, Azure is the choice of many businesses when migrating to cloud-based infrastructure owners as it allows for customised business applications and enhanced mobile app support. This enables businesses to host complex third-party applications as a service to their workforce and customer base outside of the Microsoft ecosystem.
